Away from Reality

[Dara’s POV]



The day went on normally… oppa brought me to my classroom without bringing up what he told me last night… I still wonder where we’ll go today…



After the class, I stayed at my room waiting for him… an hour had passed but he’s still not here... I decided to go home alone… I can’t believe that he forgot about me…



I walked out the room and as I was walking along the corridor, I felt a pair of arms wrapped around my waist… I turned back and it was him.



“Oppa..! I thought you’re not going to pick me up… why are you so late?” I asked him as I faced him… he kissed my forehead… thanks that there were no students already.



“I did some preparations” he said as he loosened his hold in my waist… then he gripped my hand and dragged me with him.



“Wa-wait oppa..! For what? Oppa don’t walk so fast…! Where are we going?” I asked, half running and walking… I can’t let go of his hold because it was so tight.



“Just follow me okay…” He said as he glanced back at me and showed me his cute smile. I then kept quiet and just followed him. We went to his car and drove…



I still don’t know where we’re heading and then after a while I felt sleepy… he told me to sleep first since the trip would be long… The next thing I know was I completely fell asleep.



“Dara… wake up princess… we’re already here” I heard oppa waking me so I slowly opened my eyes and saw his face so close to mine… I was still half asleep so he pinched my nose which made me wake up instantly.



We stepped out of the car… then he went behind my back then whispered me to close my eyes… it tickled my neck which made me flinched… I just realized that he put a blindfold on me…



I stayed quiet the whole time… I’m curious about his plan but I just let him do his thing… his arm wrapped around my shoulder as his other hand held my hand to guide me somewhere…



I could hear some waves and tasted salty as the wind blew… We stopped somewhere then I felt him behind my back again then took off the blindfold… I rubbed my eyes to adjust my vision… I was overwhelmed with the next thing I saw…



We were on a beach… the sun was already setting out which brought highlight to the waves of the sea… it felt like I was watching an ocean of glitters… The last time we went on a beach was when we’re still kids… my parents were too busy with their works…



Then I saw a pergola surrounded by plants and flowers not from far was a rest house… Then once the sun completely set down, beautiful lights began to encircle the pergola and then fireworks began to play along with balloons that have a banner tied with it that says… “Saranghae Dara…my princess…”



I was completely mesmerized… I felt tears pouring out from my eyes… then I felt oppa’s arms wrapping around me from behind… I held his arms as he rested his head on my shoulder.



“Do you like it…?” He asked



“I love it…” as tears continued to roll down my cheeks… that was what he prepared all along…



“This isn’t what I really planned… but the time is too short, so this is the only thing I could come up with… I know it’s a bit childish but…” He said as he scratched the back of his head… I didn’t let him finish his sentence for I faced him then hugged him tight and kissed him



“Thank you… Saranghae…” Then we kissed again… We watched the fireworks while hugging each other…



We went to the pergola… our hands interlocked with each other… there was a picnic mat and some blankets… foods and drinks…we savored each moment as we feed each other… laughter filled the atmosphere as he began telling me about his preparations… After eating… we rested for a while, I rested on his chest while we both lied down gazing the stars…We were playing with each others hands… his hands were just fit with mine...



“What abut school and Butler Choi?” I asked him



“I already told Butler Choi that our school we’ll be having a one week trip starting today, while I told the school that our family needs to go abroad… smart reasons eh…?” Se said playfully..



“What! You mean we’ll stay here for one week? Just the two of us…?!” I said trying to look back at him… I saw his brows turning up and down and he looked at me seductively again.



“Why? You don’t like? You told me you want to give me something… then, I want one week alone with you… okay?” I couldn’t answer him back since I already agreed to him last night.



We stayed quiet for a while hugging each other under a starry night… suddenly we saw a falling star so I quickly clasped my hands together to wish…. I told him to do the same… I wished that we would always be together…. I asked him what he wished for…



“I wished that you’ll always stay happy” He said as he kissed my hand


“But why didn’t you wish for yourself” as I pouted



“I already said that don’t need anything more aside from you and your happiness”


“But…”



“No buts okay… it’s my wish..” He said as he smiled and reached for my lips.



After a while we both fell sleepy… He lifted me up and carried me bridal style towards the rest house. I just rested my head on his chest…. He lied me down on the soft bed and felt him laid beside me… he let his arm be my pillow as we both hugged each other into sleep.



[His POV]



I woke up from the warm rays of the sun touching my face… I stretched out my arms then flipped to my side expecting to see the love of my life… but she’s not there…. At first I panicked but I tried to calm myself and just looked for her.



I went to the terrace, but she wasn’t there… I went to the bathroom but still, she wasn’t there… I decided to go down and I heard some clutters at the kitchen… I went there and saw her facing the counter, she’s wearing an apron as her back facing me…



She’s just standing there and not doing anything so I approached her and wrapped my arms around her waist… I rested my head on her shoulder to peek on what she was doing… she just stayed still… her head bowed down…


“Hey, what are you doing…? As I kissed her neck… she suddenly faced me raising both her hands to my face but still her head bowed down.



I brought her chin up to face me and saw her teary eyes.



“Hey… what’s wrong?” then she showed me her hands full of bruises



“I tried to cook but I just burnt my hands and I got cuts when I tried to slice those…” she said as she pointed at the onions “Im so useless…I wanted to make you some breakfast but I can’t…” she said while crying . I hugged her and patted her back while caressing her head.



“Ssh.. don’t cry anymore… you’re not useless okay… it’s your first time doing these things so of course you’ll have a hard time” then I reached for her hands



“See.. look at these precious hands… you don’t have to push yourself too much for me…I don’t want you get hurt okay…” as I kissed her bruised hands



“Let me do the things for you… you, staying by my side always is enough for me..”



“But… just this… at least make me do this for you…” she’s really stubborn which I can’t resist following her. In the end, I let her stay and helped me do the kitchen works…



The cooking took like forever… our breakfast turned out t be our lunch because she’s so childish and kept on doing silly things whenever I don’t see her… after that, we ate and washed the dishes together… it felt like we’re already married… if only we can be…

“Let’s go somewhere so go take a bath now… you already stink” I told her playfully then she pouted at me and hit my arm.



“Just kidding, but seriously go take a bath now” as she was about to go towards the bathroom, I grabbed her waist and pulled her close to me.



“On second thought… do you want to take a bath together?”



Then slap! She hit me again



“Pervert oppa!” then she ran inside the bathroom and immediately locked it… I laughed and headed to the couch to wait for her. When she’s done, she stuck her head out the bathroom door and searched if I’m around… I was chuckling while watching her from behind…



She went out with just a shower towel covering her naked body… I could smell the fragrance of the shampoo she used and to see her dripping hair made me aroused. She sat on the bed to dry her hair with another towel… I quickly climbed up the bed and went on her back… and as I was about to grab her, she quickly stood up so I fell of the bed face first.


“Oppa! What do you think you’re doing?! Now go take a bath…!” she didn’t even help me to stand up…. My nose hurt so much…



“Darn it!” as I stomped my way towards the bathroom… after I took a bath… I went outside the bathroom and saw her standing in the terrace… she’s so beautiful…


She’s wearing a white flowing dress that danced with the wind just like her hair… she looked like a goddess… I felt my heart thumped crazily and I can’t help not to fall in love with her again… when she saw me, she showed me her beautiful smile … she’s saying something but I can’t comprehend with it since I’m busy being amazed with her beauty…



Then she began approaching me… somehow I felt I’m blushing until she’s now in front of me…



“Oppa… are you okay? I thought we’re going out, why aren’t you dressed yet?” I came out to my senses finally and realized I’m still on a shower towel.

We went our holding each others hands… I could feel that she felt uneasy doing it outside so I wrapped my arm around her.



“Don’t worry… no one recognizes us here…” And right after I said it, I felt her loosened up.



We went downtown to stroll around… people were staring at us and gave us warm smiles… I could see some men staring at her... who wouldn't be amazed with her beauty... but sorry for them... Dara is mine.. I felt like I’m the luckiest man on earth just being with a beautiful girl like her…



We stopped by a diner to eat… we sat down facing each other and a waitress approached us…



“Oh…look what we have here… what could I give to a beautiful couple like you two..?” the woman said as she looked at us… I saw Dara blushed… I can’t help not to let out a small chuckle…



We have said our orders and waited… we held our hands on the top of the table while staring at each other… I wish this would last forever… I would never get tired looking at her… Our moment broke when our orders came… we ate and after that we left to continue our stroll…



We found a gift shop on the end of one street… she quickly dragged me inside it… she really enjoys shopping while I just watched her… the owner of the shop was also kind just like the waitress back at the diner… she found us as a cute couple too… I’m too fluttered with so much praises people were giving us… what if they knew that we’re blood related, would they still think that we’re a cute couple…?



I woke up from my thoughts when something caught my eyes… I saw a couple rings that were really beautiful… the engravings were really beautiful… I wonder if it would suit us… I secretly brought the rings while she’s still busy shopping…



After our stroll, we went back to the rest house totally tired… We were back from hugging each other into sleep…This place is the best…The sanctuary that we found…I hope we could stay like this forever… away from the people’s judgments… away from reality….
